3D – it’s so hot right now. What with Avatar, Alice in Wonderland and the latest issue of Remix, I had to get in on that action. So yesterday I met up with photographer Garth Badger (who shot the Remix 3D cover), to give it a go. There are a couple of rules when you’re shooting 3D – the setting has to have lots of depth and detail and you have to be incredibly still when the photo’s being taken. I can’t give away any details of Garth’s technique because it’s a secret, but if you have 16 cameras, a crane and four different types of rare mirrors you shouldn’t have too much trouble getting started. Alongside shooting 3D covers, Garth has been getting into the film game, creating all of the casting videos for Red Eleven, like this one of international girl Sofia Arellano. Check them out, they’re a very good time.
