For the past two and a half years I’ve been paying a pittance to get my hair cut with clippers by barbers who barely understand a word of what I say, and who don’t know how to navigate their way around a head of curly hair. So last week I went and saw my old mate Tyson Kennedy (formerly of Steriogram fame), who works at Cutler Salon in SoHo. An hour later, I walked out with the actual best haircut of my life. If you, like me, are cursed with fluffy hair that has a tendency to look like, ahem, PUBES, I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to find a hairdresser who knows what the hell they’re doing, and to use a product that will whip those short and curlies into shape. Tyson also moonlights as the CEO and creator of fatboy, and it is so good. The product is a matte putty that you work into your hair after you’ve towel-dried it (but while it’s still damp), and when your hair dries, it’s thicker, and better coiffed than you would dream possible. And since it’s a completely soft finish, you can run your hands through your hair and change the style throughout the day. (This is obviously something I’ve thought about an awfully large amount.) Consider this blog post an official Isaac Likes endorsement. I am obsessed. Pick some up here. It’ll be the best $18 you’ve ever spent.
I LIKE YOU!
