Hey, gidday mates! Fall is here. It happened overnight. There are leaves in the street, the skies are darker, and the air has that hint of chill coupled with winds that whirlpool dust and newspaper pages all around. There’s electricity in the atmosphere. The clothing is becoming more interesting, too. Already we’re seeing richer, darker colours; heavier, longer layers; and textures coming into play that have been hidden in the back of closets for the past four months of summer. It’s a perfect moment for corduroy, and nothing beats a traditional American two/three roll sack jacket like this one by Alex Mill.
I’m wearing: Alex Mill corduroy sport coat (similar at J.Crew, above); Brooks Brothers oxford shirt; Gubb & Mackie tie (similar at Tie Bar, above); Club Monaco corduroy pants; Maximum Henry belt; Uniqlo socks; and Burberry Prorsum shoes.
