Hey, gidday mates! Another day, another Baracuta G9. This time it’s the stone colorway, favored by Steve McQueen. The only difference being that liked to wear his with a cream colored sweater underneath; the perks of a year-round tan. As a fairer skinned individual, I try not to wear too much beige too close to my face, but I hope the navy blue sweater (knitted by my Mum!!!) balances it out a bit. Yay? Nay? Now, a quick note on those sunglasses. I’ve been wearing Moscots for about five years — they were the first proper-good pair of sunglasses I ever picked up. This pair is part of a special limited edition collaboration with the Australian record label Future Classic, and there are only 100 pairs available worldwide, so get in quick.Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates. I was walking out of my apartment yesterday to shoot this exact outfit but with the red version of the jacket, when a delivery arrived from Baracuta with the navy, green and khaki versions. I ripped open the box, tried them all on, the navy worked best, so I figured I’d shoot it instead of showcasing the red for the umpteenth time. I’m a big fan. The fact that I now own the G9 jacket in four different colors really speaks volumes about my obsession, but as far as I’m concerned, it is the perfect casual jacket. Worn by everyone from James Dean to Steve McQueen, amazing with denim, khakis, corduroys, sneakers and leather lace-ups, the G9 is my go-to whenever I don’t feel like wearing a leather jacket or a bomber, but I still wanna finish off my outfit with something easy and cool. Obsessed.Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! Just a quickie on Friday morning before the long weekend begins. Full disclosure 1: I’ve posted this outfit at least once, maybe twice on the blog already, but it’s one of my favourites, and this one was shot in beautiful New Zealand, so I’m taking a free pass. Full disclosure 2: I slept in till 11:15am this morning! On a Friday! Very strange for me because I wake up at 7:00am every day of the week, so it must be the jet lag and readjusting to this NYC late summer heat. The morals of the story are: Alongside my leather jacket and my denim jacket, this Baracuta jacket is the best investment piece I’ve picked up in 2015; and… That’s all I’ve got. Everything’s still hazy. Enjoy your weekend, friends!Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! I’m coming at you live from the plane from NYC to LA, and due to the marvels of modern day technology, I’ll be posting this here bloggy wog while I’m up in the air. Hooray for inflight wifi! I’m heading to California for two and a half days to shoot an extremely exciting video project of the men’s style variety, so watch this space. Now, to the matter at hand: This is another outfit from the LuisaViaRoma/Florence trip, and the idea behind my look was a European take on Stateside classics – everything I’m wearing is as stereotypically American as you can get, but nothing I’m wearing besides that white T-shirt is actually from the USA: The denim jacket and sneakers are Margiela, the khaki pants are DSquared2, and the G9 jacket is Baracuta. Who knew!Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! Just a quickie to show off what I wore on day one of the Milan men’s shows — aka my best attempt at channelling James Dean. Like I said yesterday, Ermenegildo Zegna is quite literally on the opposite side of the city from my hotel and I’m always the last to arrive; these photos were taken by Melodie Jeng as I was running into the show at the 11th hour. Speaking of Ermenegildo Zegna, check out my opinion of the collection, here!Click to Continue!
