1. I have to start with Black Market, because it’s the place I go most often in New York. It’s a bar on the corner of 7th Street and Avenue A in Alphabet City and it’s my favorite place to sit around for like four hours and be surrounded by the same crew of people every night of the week. Everybody from Macauley Culkin to Alexa Chung to Johnny Marr from The Smiths turn up, and it’s just fun and noisy and completely unpretentious in a way that I like.
