Hey, gidday mates! Full disclosure: I haven’t shot anything for the blog for like two and a half weeks, so I’m running low on imagery. What I do have, however, is an archive full of outfit posts, so today, and perhaps for the next couple of days, I’m kicking it vintage with some 2015 favorites. First up, let’s talk oversized coats and how to nail the look.Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! If you’re in NZ or Australia or any other country that wakes up before we do here in America, Merry Christmas! If you’re not, Bah Humbug! We’ll get to you tomorrow. You might have noticed I’m obsessed shearling. Must be the New Zealander in me. I picked up this jacket from the sample rack at the Z Zegna offices a couple of years ago, and I pull it out of the closet whenever the temperatures drop below a tolerable level. The best thing — it’s so thick and warm that it works perfectly with the style-agenda I’m pushing this winter: Great jacket, white T-shirt, jeans, leather lace-ups. Harry Styles-chic, if you will. Invest in shearling (second-hand or new), and don’t ever underestimate the power of a great bomber. Try this one at home.Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! I’m still here in the seasonless blue skies-ville known as Los Angeles, California, but if you’re located in a city that boasts falling leaves, chilly winds and an imminent winter, this one’s for you. Wherever you are though, there’s a shift afoot. Bjorn Borg’s hair (and Wimbledon outfits) are starting to look extremely fresh; turtlenecks are everywhere; sheepskin coats are the outerwear of choice; and suede Chelsea boots are popping up on the unlikeliest of feet. The 1970s are back, which means hair’s getting longer, colors are getting richer, and Almost Famous can be claimed as outfit inspiration. We’re just one step away from men in flared jeans. Hey, gidday mates! I’m coming to you live from 30,000 feet above America; I’m currently on the flight from NYC to LA, Jenny’s sitting next to me, I’m enjoying free wifi courtesy of JetBlue (this is not a paid endorsement), and life is good! I’m not entirely sure what the plan is for the next couple of weeks in LA, but I’m going to be running around meeting as many people as possible, DJing a couple of parties, shooting a ton, and blogging as per usual.Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! I don’t know about you, but I’m somebody who suffers from a serious amount of guilt every time I sleep in past 8:30am on a weekday. This morning I woke up at 10:45am. 10:45!!! I blame three things: the three parties Jenny and I deejayed till 3am last week; my newfound obsession with the family Kardashian; and the NyQuil I drank last night to dull the cold that’s a-brewin’ as we speak.Click to Continue!
