Hey, gidday mates! Long time no talk. I have a legitimate excuse: Last week was one of the busiest of my life. Jenny and I deejayed three times, hosted a dinner party, and shot a two-day wedding campaign/lookbook thing for David’s Bridal. Good times all round. So this shoot here with my mate Matthew Zorpas is kinda funny for the fact that it happened within the space of 15 minutes on Monday afternoon between a phone call with my parents and my weekly therapy session; which was immediately followed by a trip uptown to the Tiffany & Co. flagship where we deejayed the party with Vogue that night.Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! This morning, playing directly into Murphy’s hand, I spent a good 90 seconds telling Jenny how great it is that we haven’t experienced a shred of Parisian ‘tude this whole trip. Big mistake. 30 minutes later we were at Telescope; the hipster, minimalist, hand-poured, pretentious yet beautifully designed coffee shop near our apartment. Jenny bumped into something while holding her cup, dropped it, and watched in dismay as €4,50 went down the drain. We apologized profusely and went running for the nearest napkins, while the two guys working the counter said nothing and stared, speech bubbles practically appearing above their heads reading, “Stupid clumsy Americans.”Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! I’m coming to you live from Milan, Italy, it’s a crisp winter’s day, the sun is shining, Jenny’s here with me, Richard Biedul just flew into town, Sonny Vandevelde is staying in the room next to mine, the shows start tomorrow, and I’m extremely excited for the next two weeks of adventures!Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! Fall is here. It happened overnight. There are leaves in the street, the skies are darker, and the air has that hint of chill coupled with winds that whirlpool dust and newspaper pages all around. There’s electricity in the atmosphere. The clothing is becoming more interesting, too. Already we’re seeing richer, darker colours; heavier, longer layers; and textures coming into play that have been hidden in the back of closets for the past four months of summer. It’s a perfect moment for corduroy, and nothing beats a traditional American two/three roll sack jacket like this one by Alex Mill.Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! First things first, something amazing happened last night: Jenny and I deejayed an impromptu after party at Never Never with Virgil Abloh. Insane. It’s a surreal feeling when you get to work alongside people you’ve been following since before you had any conception that one day you’d be living in New York or writing a blog or dating a beautiful girl named Jenny Albright. Life is good.Click to Continue!
