I did all my Christmas shopping in NYC and couldn’t wait to give everybody everything the moment I landed in NZ, so I gave my family their presents the morning I arrived, and now there’s nothing for anybody on Christmas Day. Nightmare. But over the last few days I did the rounds at all my favourite shops in Auckland, which gave me a chance to pick up some ideas for last minute gifts. My past 48 hours: On Wednesday morning I was on 15th Street in New York having breakfast with a Frenchman, a Polack and a Russian; by the afternoon I was sitting at the airport with Hasids and their bodyguards in New Jersey; that night I was surrounded by fellow Kiwis (including Dean O’Gorman of The Hobbit fame) at LAX; and the next morning I was flying into Auckland International Airport, picked up by my parents, home to my sister’s house for a quick shower, then straight back out the door to the top of Mt Eden then the Westhaven Marina to shoot Gucci with my mate James K Lowe.Click to Continue!
Back home in Auckland, there’s always been this crew of guys who are kinda hard to describe to people who don’t come from New Zealand, but they’re mid-20s to 30s, super macho (but not in a jock-ish way), tall and big, real into hip hop, and they dress almost exactly like I am here in this outfit from Workshop.Click to Continue!
