Hey, gidday mates! This was the final outfit I shot during my time in Los Angeles. We were driving down Wilshire Boulevard as the sun was dipping behind the buildings, and I spotted this cool old cinema named El Rey. We pulled up, stood out front, shot a few frames, and then the manager came out and said, “You know it’s a lot more impressive looking if we turn on all the lights. Wait a minute.” He went back inside, flicked a switch, et voila, he was right.Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! In case you were wondering, this was the outfit I wore when I went to meet Jenny’s mom for the first time. To be fair it was actually the second time I’d met her, but it was the first time I was meeting her as Jenny’s boyyyyyyfriend. oooOOOOOoooooo. I read once that people trust salesmen more if they’re wearing blue suits, so this seemed like a good option. Thoughts?Click to Continue!
Tucked away in the back of an unmarked warehouse on an industrial side street on the outskirts of Downtown LA is Re/Done — the smartest, coolest and most environmentally friendly denim line I’ve personally ever encountered. You know how the holy grail of jeans is that perfect pair of vintage stonewashed Levi’s that you find at a flea market, fall in love with, take home, try on, and go, “Wow the denim is awesome but the fit is atrocious,” well, file this one under, ‘Ideas I Wish I’d Come Up With First’.Click to Continue!

So with that in mind, I’ve teamed up with GAP Inc. to bring you my picks for the boys from its stable of brands — GAP, Banana Republic and Old Navy. Whether it’s your brother, your Dad, your boyfriend, your cat’s uncle’s babysitter’s nephew’s brother in law, I’ve got you covered. Lezzzzz go!Click to Continue!
Anon asks: My boyfriend just moved to LA in August, and as much as I am dying to be where he is I hate the West Coast. I’m all about blooming where you’re planted but this would be a huge move for me (from Texas) and I’m not sure I would even fit in there. I’m partial to southern culture and when I last visited LA I felt bombarded by the inauthenticity of the city. I absolutely despised the culture! Am I making the wrong decision by moving to the West Coast to be with my boyfriend? I’m so torn!
Mate! You’ve come to the right place. I’ve moved twice to be with girls, once within New Zealand from Christchurch to Auckland, and once from Auckland to Toronto. Neither times worked out for me, but that’s not to say it won’t for you.Click to Continue!
