Tucked away in the back of an unmarked warehouse on an industrial side street on the outskirts of Downtown LA is Re/Done — the smartest, coolest and most environmentally friendly denim line I’ve personally ever encountered. You know how the holy grail of jeans is that perfect pair of vintage stonewashed Levi’s that you find at a flea market, fall in love with, take home, try on, and go, “Wow the denim is awesome but the fit is atrocious,” well, file this one under, ‘Ideas I Wish I’d Come Up With First’.Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! Just a quickie on Friday morning before the long weekend begins. Full disclosure 1: I’ve posted this outfit at least once, maybe twice on the blog already, but it’s one of my favourites, and this one was shot in beautiful New Zealand, so I’m taking a free pass. Full disclosure 2: I slept in till 11:15am this morning! On a Friday! Very strange for me because I wake up at 7:00am every day of the week, so it must be the jet lag and readjusting to this NYC late summer heat. The morals of the story are: Alongside my leather jacket and my denim jacket, this Baracuta jacket is the best investment piece I’ve picked up in 2015; and… That’s all I’ve got. Everything’s still hazy. Enjoy your weekend, friends!Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! Happy Friday. You might have noticed my outfits have been running the full gamut from suit and tie to jeans and leather jackets recently, with this one here being on the particularly casual end of the scale. There’s no doubt that I feel strongest when I’m wearing a great jacket, button-down and tie; but New York gets crazy hot in the summertime, and sometimes it just makes more sense to kick it casual when you’re running around the city like a headless chicken. Plus, I’m obsessed with 90s style, and what’s more 90s than stonewash denim on denim with a pair of Vans Authentics? It’s like clean grunge… or an old school CK Jeans commercial. To try this one at home, keep in mind that the denims should be similar/complimentary but not identical, and remember that light wash denim and black sneakers are a perfect colour combo. Das it das it!Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! I’m excited to announce that I’m partnering with Superga on a series of posts this summer showcasing The People’s Shoes of Italy in a variety of looks. If you’ve been reading this bloggy wog for any length of time you might have noticed my predilection for canvas sneakers, but my sneaker colour palette typically runs the gamut from blue to white — with nothing in-between — so for my first effort I wanted to stretch myself a bit and try something new. Enter Superga’s Cotu Classic in Cerise (deep red) — the perfect pop of colour with an all-white-everything ensemble. Not bad, right?Click to Continue!
