Hey, gidday mates! This summer has been all about consistency — having a routine and sticking to it (gym, therapy, ping pong, attempting to eat sugar free, rinse and repeat). And unbeknownst to me, that consistency has leaked into my wardrobe. Over the past few months I’ve worn white on white on white at least half the days of the week, and when I’m not, it’s been blue on blue or green on green, and now that it’s getting a bit chillier, I’ve started with the black on black. Going head to toe tone on tone is the easiest way in the world to dress; according to the experts over at GQ it makes you look taller, AND it’s like the casual answer to the summer suits we were all wearing a couple of years ago. I’m gonna try to carry this through to fall and winter.Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! I don’t know about you, but I go through these phases of buying multiples of certain basic pieces and wearing a variation on the same outfit, days/weeks/months in a row. Right now that includes canvas pants, white T-shirts and suede sneakers (all of which can we acquired for well under $100). That said, I love me a big ticket item, and my latest acquisition is from Demna Gvasalia at Balenciaga. His take on the black denim jacket has elongated shoulders and a cropped, tapered waist, which affords the wearer something of an inverted V superhero silhouette. Who needs the gym??? No doubt it’ll be on a constant rotation in the upcoming months, alongside this Loewe T-shirt (which looked just as good on Jenny as it did on me).Click to Continue!
Comme des Garcons has been one of my favorite brands for as long as I’ve loved fashion. Probably the thing I love most about Comme is that there is literally something for anybody, no matter how freaky or conservative your style might be, and no matter how deep your pockets are. When I was younger and broke I’d save up my dollars and dip my toe in the Comme water with the fragrances (Comme 2 is an all-time favorite), leather pouch wallets, and everything Comme des Garcons Play; but as I’ve grown older I’m more and more obsessed with Comme’s takes on really simple pieces, like the blue worker jacket I’m wearing in this photo — it’s a classic Carhartt or Dickies style, but cut in the most beautiful indigo blue textured cotton. There are also all these little details that I love, like the over-dyed garment tags on the inside and the slubby cotton that you’d only see if you looked at it up close.Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! If you’ve been reading this blog since day one, you’ll know that I’ve gone on a newfound health kick every year since I started, and that it usually lasts about four weeks before I get bored of running or working out or eating gluten free [or insert fad here]. But this time is different. This time it’s stuck. I’m four months into an almost daily workout regime, and I’m not just noticing the changes in my glorious physique, but I’m also seeing it in my wardrobe. Bear in mind that this is coming from a onetime hater of the athleisure movement, but if I’ve learned something over the years, it’s to never say never. NEVER. These days I spend half my life in sweat pants, tracksuits and sneakers enroute to the gym, a workout class, a flight, or just running around town wanting to feel comfortable. Hey, gidday mates! So this past weekend I went to Coachella with my mates from Ray-Ban. If you’ve never been, it’s like hanging out at the biggest camping ground ever with about 100,000 incredibly good looking people, with eight incredible performances going on simultaneously from the world’s most famous musicians every 30-45 minutes. Insanity! Plus it’s in the middle of the desert and it gets extremely hot and bright, so sunglasses are essential. Hello, Ray-Ban. Highlight moments included Lorde’s performance, seeing Joy Division do Bizarre Love Triangle IRL, and sitting in a giant field all alone contemplating my existence (aka crying) while watching Bon Iver. So many memories! Photos/outfits, below.Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! It might not look like it from the cloudy skies in these photos, but you’ll have to trust me when I tell you that Spring has officially sprung in New York City.Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! It’s been a while since I posted an outfit, but but but I’ve been working on all this other stuff like MUSIC that I am so excited to share the moment it’s finished. If you don’t know yet, I’m working on my first solo EP, which is gonna be made up of songs my Dad wrote, and at least one song that I wrote. So it’s fitting then (in a roundabout way), that this outfit features a sweater vest that my Dad once owned, and recently gave to me.Click to Continue!
God Save The Food is this popular restaurant in Milan that sits opposite Armani’s spaceship grey headquarters, and close to those of Zegna, Canali, and Moncler. On any given day it’s filled to the brink with the young Milanese fashion crowd, who come for the salads and fresh-squeezed juices (labeled smoothies on the menu), and who probably stay for the gossip, but I don’t speak the language so it’s hard to tell. It’s also the closest any of us out-of-towners come to healthy-ish food while we’re here for fashion week, so it’s a regular pitstop during the shows.Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! Long time no talk. I have a legitimate excuse: Last week was one of the busiest of my life. Jenny and I deejayed three times, hosted a dinner party, and shot a two-day wedding campaign/lookbook thing for David’s Bridal. Good times all round. So this shoot here with my mate Matthew Zorpas is kinda funny for the fact that it happened within the space of 15 minutes on Monday afternoon between a phone call with my parents and my weekly therapy session; which was immediately followed by a trip uptown to the Tiffany & Co. flagship where we deejayed the party with Vogue that night.Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! I’m coming to you live from sunny Monterey, California, but the photos you’re seeing were shot last month in sunny Gulf Shores, Alabama. But since I’m out here in Cali with Jenny’s parents, it seemed appropriate to publish the second set of photos I shot with her dad, aka my future Father in-law, aka Mr Tom Albright.Click to Continue!
