Hey, gidday mates! The polar vortex has officially arrived, so continuing on from last year’s oversized yellow puffer parka, this time round I picked up an oversized blue puffer parka by ACNE from MATCHESFASHION.COM. With its funnel neck and quilting it has the look of a jacket that might have been worn by Noel Gallagher in his 90s Britpop heyday, which means it’d look perfect with stonewash jeans and white Reebok classics, but I’ve been wearing it over my favorite grey hoodie with black jeans and my heavy-soled derbies. Generally speaking I’m a size small, but I got this parka in a size large because I’m buying everything massive right now. The more the merrier.Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! On Tuesday morning somebody told me Chance The Rapper was performing in Queens that night, so I bought tickets and had one of the most fun nights I’ve had in a long time because Chance The Rapper IS FECKING AMAZING LIVE. If you get a chance to see Chance take that chance. I wore this jacket and pair of pants by Cottweiler, and these sneakers by Veja from MATCHESFASHION.COM. You might notice that this is way more high tech than anything I’d usually wear, but this old dog is attempting to learn new tricks.Click to Continue!
We got hit by a late-coming heatwave these past few days, so I’ve been getting back into my favorite pineapple shirt that I picked up a couple of months ago from Mr Porter. Like I said a couple of weeks ago, tone on tone dressing is definitely the easiest way to go for summer. Especially when there’s so much else to think about right now, like the New Zealand election not going the way so many of us hoped it would, and the hurricanes happening in the Caribbean, and the President tweeting crazy ish, LeBron and Michael Rapaport fighting back, and Stevie Wonder being the hero of the weekend for taking a knee at the Global Citizen Festival (which I was lucky enough to go see). Let’s see what happens tomorrow.Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! I’m currently lying on my bed fighting off waves of exhaustion after two huge days watching Lorde, Wu Tang, Flume, Chance The Rapper, and a bunch of others perform at Governors Ball this weekend. So many memories. On the first night the line for the ferry was so long that I ended up walking across the RFK Bridge to the 120-something’th Street with like 5000 teenagers who were blasting Chance and DJ Khaled and Lil Uzi Vert from their iPhones. Almost made me feel young again. ALMOST. I shot these photos with my mate Jeremy Mitchell lastClick to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! If you’ve been reading this blog since day one, you’ll know that I’ve gone on a newfound health kick every year since I started, and that it usually lasts about four weeks before I get bored of running or working out or eating gluten free [or insert fad here]. But this time is different. This time it’s stuck. I’m four months into an almost daily workout regime, and I’m not just noticing the changes in my glorious physique, but I’m also seeing it in my wardrobe. Bear in mind that this is coming from a onetime hater of the athleisure movement, but if I’ve learned something over the years, it’s to never say never. NEVER. These days I spend half my life in sweat pants, tracksuits and sneakers enroute to the gym, a workout class, a flight, or just running around town wanting to feel comfortable.
