Hey, gidday mates! I’m reporting to you live from Paris, having left Milan yesterday afternoon on the fashion flight with every 17 year old male model, a bunch of menswear editors, and Jenny. Now I’m sitting in the living room of my Montmartre apartment listening to Good Charlotte with Jenny and Kat Irlin of @kat_in_nyc fame, who arrived from New York at 5:00 this morning. Those two are talking too much for me to be able to concentrate properly on writing this blog post, so without further ado, here are a bunch of photos shot on our last day of shows in Milan, and which appeared in GQ, British Vogue and Vogue Paris, and WWD. Yewwwww!Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! We came, we saw, we conquered. NYC to Milan and back, Thursday to Tuesday, four and a half days, in and out. Or so we thought.Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! I’m a sucker for street style photography, it’s where I (and quite possibly you) pick up the vast majority of my outfit inspiration. But despite the fact that it’s women’s season right now, I’ve still been trawling through the slideshows to see what style takeaways I can glean from the ladies. And rest assured, there are a ton; even for us boys. My three favorites: 1. Stonewash denim (always good). 2. Hoodies layered under heavier jackets. 3. A pop of red. In other words, American sportswear references are huge right now. The good news is that you can replicate it at home with a Champion hoodie and a second hand pair of Levi’s, or you can drop insane cash on Vetements, whatever works. But whether you wear them separately or altogether like my new favorite dresser Chiara Capitani (above), they will not let you down. God bless America! More below.Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! Like I mentioned yesterday, on Saturday night I had dinner with Cameron Dallas. I should say THE Cameron Dallas, because the crowd that showed up for the kid at the Calvin Klein show yesterday was rivaled only by crowds I’ve seen for Lucky Blue Smith, Justin Bieber and Will Smith. I’m talking girls in their hundreds, screaming, chanting, crying, the real deal. And proving my age, I didn’t even know who he was. (If you’re old like me, he’s a Youtube star and social media sensation.) Full disclosure, I shook his hand but didn’t talk to him because we were seated at opposite ends of the table, but he did show everyone a Youtube video of a bunch of young dudes eating hair cake, so that happened.Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! Day three of Milan Fashion Week is done and dusted, as is my time here with the shows, with Italy, and with Europe in general. I’ve got a couple of final blog posts to write (including my round up of favourite looks from today), and then I’m flying back to New York tomorrow. It was a tough call to skip Paris because it’s my favourite leg of the whole shebang, but I’ve got too much work happening in New York right now to be able to afford to leave the city for a 20 day stint, so I made the difficult — but maybe adult? — decision to go back home at the end of Milan. But what a week it’s been! (More on that, later.) So without further ado, here’s what I wore yesterday for day two of Milan Fashion Week — as captured by some of the world’s top street style photographers.Click to Continue!
