Hey, gidday mates! This one’s a bit of a throwback; I shot it in Auckland last month with Reagen Butler at the end of a long day shooting Tom Bull for the Barkers campaign from early morning to sundown. After Tom’s last shot Reagen and I ran up to O’Connell Street and took these ones just as golden hour was coming to a close. If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times — I’m incredibly impressed with what Barkers have done on the tailoring front*. If you’re a dude in New Zealand looking to buy a suit, you literally cannot beat Barkers on price and fit. A few weeks ago, during New York Fashion Week, the good folk at Gucci invited me to take part in a twofold fragrance immersion — to start, I visited the store up on 5th Avenue and was taken through the Made to Measure suiting process; the next day I took a trip to the NoMad Hotel to sit down with the fragrance team to learn how the company’s new Made to Measure scent was constructed. Full disclosure: 1. I’m a pretty cynical consumer; and 2.
