Hey, gidday mates! This one’s a bit of a throwback; I shot it in Auckland last month with Reagen Butler at the end of a long day shooting Tom Bull for the Barkers campaign from early morning to sundown. After Tom’s last shot Reagen and I ran up to O’Connell Street and took these ones just as golden hour was coming to a close. If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times — I’m incredibly impressed with what Barkers have done on the tailoring front*. If you’re a dude in New Zealand looking to buy a suit, you literally cannot beat Barkers on price and fit. And if you’re a dude anywhere else, you can’t beat a solid blue suit/white button-down/navy knit tie combo. Everyone’s a winner!Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! First things first, my apologies for the drought in style content over the past week — I finally got my computer back from the repair shop late last night and was extremely pleased to find all the images I’d shot the week before still on there, which was lucky because my entire hard drive had crashed and I was freaking the F out. Phew! But back to the matter at hand: There’s something I love about the crisp formality of a great charcoal suit. It looks amazing with a pale blue oxford shirt and blue knit tie like I’m doing here, and it’s an absolute knockout winner with a white button-down and a black knit tie, which I’ll do in the next few weeks.Click to Continue!
To the guys out there who are frightened of buying a suit online, this one’s for you. Let’s give ourselves the benefit of the doubt that at this stage in the #menswear arc, we all know our suit size. If you don’t, it’s as simple as walking into your nearest men’s store that sells jackets, and trying on a couple until you find the one that fits snugly on your shoulder, adequately well through the body, and finishes at about your first knuckle when your hands are hanging down by your sides.Click to Continue!
