Photos: Noah Emrich of NOVH fame We shot our latest What’s in store at the brand new Acne store in SoHo precisely one hour after it had officially opened for business. That meant that the retail crew were still ironing out a couple of kinks and construction workers were putting the final nails in the dressing room adjacent to the one that I filled with every men’s piece in sight. Highlights included Amy, the Kiwi shop assistant; the fact that the trousers fit better off the rack than the ones I’ve been getting tailored recently; not to mention the miracleClick to Continue!
Photos: Noah Emrich of NOVH fame I’ve been intrigued by BLK DNM and its founder Johan Lindeberg’s sudden rise to indie fashion fame for a while now, so last week Noah Emrich and I shot the store for the New York Times to see what all the fuss was about. It’s a cavernous space on Lafayette Street in Soho, filled with Downtown-type art, walls of denim and stacks of Purple magazines – the staff are all young and good looking, the air perfumed with musky candle smoke, and Lindeberg himself is an exercise in tousled aloof. If you’re in the market for any of the aforementioned – or a head to toeClick to Continue!
Photos: Noah Emrich of NOVH fame Last Friday, Noah Emrich (of NOVH fame) and I made the trek up to the very plummy Upper East Side to shoot our first What’s in store of 2012 at the newly renovated Giorgio Armani boutique. It was a stressful couple of hours at first, as we tried to make lemonade from a bunch of beautiful clothing sized for the label’s typical clientele (wealthy older men). But we got there in the end and I learned a thing or two in the process. The moral of the story is: There’s a moral to everyClick to Continue!
