Hey, gidday mates! This post was brought to you by the colors black and white. As you might have noticed over the past few weeks, I’ve been adopting the styling techniques of guys like Harry Styles and Eugene Tong — great coat, t-shirt, jeans, done. Simplicity at its best. The coat is by a label named Plac, it’s a melange boucle wool (the kind of fabric classic Chanel jackets are made from), it has quilting on the inside to keep you warm — meaning that for now a t-shirt is sufficient underneath — and I’m obsessed.Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! First things first, click over to Mr Porter to see a feature I was shot for alongside The Roots drummer Questlove, celebrity trainer Noah Neiman, man about town Steven Rojas, and photographer Dapper Lou about how to dress for your body type. (I was chosen as the lean man.) You’ll see I’m wearing the same sweater here as I am in those photos — the team were aware of my obsession with beautiful woolen knitwear, and very kindly let me walk out the door with it after we’d shot. It’s the perfect piece to add a bit of texture and color to an otherwise pared back chocolate, tan and khaki combo, aka the fall uniform.Click to Continue!
Hey, gidday mates! Nordstrom is having its huge Anniversary Sale right now, and ShopStyle asked me to shop the site to choose my favourites from the selection. Sales can be intimidating — there’s so much on offer, prices are slashed, and everything looks like a sweet deal, but it’s important to keep the following in mind: When will I wear it? What will I wear it with? And how many times will I wear it? Gotta keep that Cost Per Wear (CPW) in mind at all times! To make it easier, I’ve separated my selects into five easy-to-navigate groups: Footwear, tailoring, T-shirts, button-downs and accessories. So without further ado…Click to Continue!
Missoni is fast becoming a favourite stop at Milan Fashion Week because where else on the planet can you find textures and colours and patterns and shapes made up in such perfectly proportioned menswear? Nowhere, that’s where. What you can’t see from the photos is that the back of that suede jacket is knitted cotton — sick — and if that’s too outré for your tastes, they offered a simpler four-pocket utility jacket in a rich blue cotton/linen. Something for everybody!Click to Continue!
I don’t know about you, but when I saw the blue and black dress that everybody has been sending around for the past 16 hours, I saw a blue and black dress. Anybody claiming white and gold is clearly living in some other light and colour dimension that I’m not privy to. For the record, the dress is blue and black so if you saw what I saw then you got it right (Taylor, Kanye and Justin Bieber all saw blue and black so we’re in good company). So how about me? Am I wearing blue and black or white and gold? Read on to find out…Click to Continue!
Hello friends, happy Tuesday. Today marks the launch of the new Z Zegna collection, which was first presented at Pitti Uomo in June 2014, and which marks a new chapter in the brand’s identity. Moving forward, Z Zegna will be focussing all its energies on technological advancement, and that incongruous blend of tailoring and technical, formal and sporty.Click to Continue!
Repeat something enough times and I’ll absorb it in the end. For as long as I can remember, whenever my Dad has seen a photo he likes, he’s said, “It looks like a still from a film.” If it’s a photo he really likes, he’ll say, “It looks like a still from a French film.” And if it’s a photo he loves, he’ll say, “It looks like a still from a 1960s French film.” What better way then, to pay homage to mon père, ce héros, in his favourite city in the world, than by attempting to do just that.Click to Continue!

Hey, gidday mates! Day two of London Collections: Men has come to a close, and after a sickly beginning, things are on the up and up. London Collections: Men is quite different from all the other fashion weeks I’ve ever been to — there are less shows, everything runs perfectly on time, and you have this incongruous mix of extraordinarily traditional Savile Row tailors who cut the world’s sharpest suits, and irreverent young creatives who might throw an extra sleeve on a jacket or cover the models’ faces in a lego mask.Click to Continue!
